Full house renovation in Cliftonville, Margate

Terraced house tucked away behind the frontage of a Cliftonville avenue. This house had been neglected for decades and was in need of complete renovation. The layout of the house has been totally turned upside-down. The old bathroom on the ground floor has become the kitchen to allow access to the rear yard, while the basement kitchen has become the bathroom with the old pantry and outdoor WC made into a walk in shower with reeded glass wall. The two  bedrooms on the upper ground floor have become a double lounge/ dining room and the basement dining and living rooms are now bedrooms. The house has been stripped back to brick, insulated with wood fibre and rendered in lime plaster. The radical changes to the layout have been achieved with minimal structural changes. The introduction of roof lights over the kitchen and stairwell flooded the house with daylight.
